Before & After: Classic Arne Jacobsen Egg Chair & Ottoman

One of the pieces that personifies classic modern is the Egg Chair by Arne Jacobsen. Jacobsen designed this chair in 1958, initially for the Radisson hotel in Copenhagen (it's amazing how many of these pieces were first designed for commercial spaces), and manufactured by Fritz Hansen. Some believe that the Egg Chair was inspired by Eero Saarinen's Womb Chair.

This Egg Chair was brought in by a client who was just gifted the chair by her parents. She had many fond memories growing up with this piece in her parents home. We completely restored & reupholstered the chair & ottoman, bringing it back to its' original condition.

More of our restoration project can be seen on the Classic Design website - thanks, as always, for checking us out!
