Custom King Bed

 

We’d like to end the week by sharing our newly completed bed. This is a custom king bed with vertical channeling detailing on the headboard and footboard with waterfall edges. The bed is  upholstered in a wonderful C&C Milano fabric and has walnut wood legs. We would love to relax and catch a nap in a bed like this one!

Custom Chloe Sofa

 

We just completed a Chloe sofa for one of our clients and we absolutely love how it turned out! This custom sofa measures 120”L x 40”D x 33”H and is fully upholstered in two fabrics from Cowtan & Tout and Romo Group. The mix of two colors makes for a fun and stylish piece to add in your home! 

 

Jean Royere inspired Polar Bear Sofa

 In 1947, a French designer named Jean Royere designed the iconic Polar Bear sofa. Though this sofa was originally made for his mother’s apartment in Paris, it has since then become increasingly popular and highly sought out worldwide. Our version of the Jean Royere inspired Polar Bear sofa was made as close to the original as possible and we absolutely love how it turned it. It is elegantly rounded and wonderfully comfortable!

Lovely Pair of Cambridge and Bridgewater Chairs with Matching Ottomans

 

Check out our latest finished pieces! The first two are Cambridge chairs upholstered in a 

wonderful striped Lee Jofa fabric. These chairs have a waterfall skirt with pleated corners 

and a skirted ottoman to match. 

 

 

The second pair are custom Bridgewater chairs upholstered in a Ralph Lauren fabric and also 

have a matching ottoman. Added bonus; these chairs have a hidden swivel mechanism. How 

nice it would be to kick back and relax in one of these chairs!

Large Custom Ottoman

 

We just finished a large custom ottoman for a screening room and we must say; it turned out so nice! This ottoman measures 84” L x 38” W x 16” H and is fully upholstered in a groovy Clarence House Fitzgerald Coral fabric. The ottoman is completed with a recessed oak base with hidden casters…perfect for sliding around to get that perfect spot under your feet or bring the snacks closer to you!

Beautiful Leather Wrapped Handrail

 

At Classic Design we not only make custom furniture; we also make leather wrapped handrails 

such as this one! For this handrail, we used a wonderful leather from Edelman and wrapped it 

in a style called an overlap wrap. It really is an elegant addition to any home!

Happy April everyone! We are starting the month off right with a lovely pair of vintage Gio Ponti

armchairs reupholstered in a beautiful Jerry Pair Leather hair-on-hide leather. We think this set 

of chairs is perfect for spring with its mix of green colors, so lovely!

Custom Moreno Bed

 

Check out our newest completed custom Moreno Bed. Upholstered in a dazzling Toyine Sellers

woven fabric made in France and built with walnut wood.  The curves and lines of this piece 

make for such an elegant bed, we would be happy to catch some Zzzs in it ourselves!

JMF Style Sofas

The weekend is almost here and the best way to spend it is by lounging on one of these Jean Michel Frank style sofas. We love the clean lines and simplicity these sofas bring… and did we mention their comfort!  The first sofa is upholstered in a stunning ultrasuede from Osborne and Little and the second sofa in a lovely woven Dedar Milano fabric.  How are you spending your weekend?!  

Reupholstered Vintage Gio Ponti Armchair

We had the great pleasure of working on another vintage Gio Ponti piece. Reupholstered in a Holly Hunt blue mohair for the inside and custom embroidered panels for the outside, this beautiful combination certainly makes for an intriguing and one-of-a-kind piece. We have each created our own meaning for the cranes on the outside; what are your thoughts on them? We would love to hear! 

Gio Ponti and Charlotte Perriand-Inspired Entry Bench and Wall-Mounted Back

We are excited to share our newest finished piece; an exquisite Gio Ponti and Charlotte 

Perriand-inspired entry bench complete with a wall-mounted back. This custom made bench 

measures 108” L x 21” D x 37” H. The seat cushion is upholstered in a Rose Tarlow deep green 

leather and the legs are made from a unique claro walnut wood. 

 

The back is a lovely accent to the bench and is done in a beautiful horsehair fabric from Paris. 

We hope that our work makes Gio Ponti and Charlotte Perriand proud!

Newly Completed U-shaped Sectional

 

Take a look at our newly completed U-shaped sectional.  We built it in three pieces and upholstered it in a beautifully textured Toyine Seller fabric with enchanting colored highlights. 

 

 

For subtle detail, an added Cowan and Tout trim goes perfectly. It is truly a wonderful piece and with a chaise on each end, there is plenty of comfort to go around! 

 

 

1940's Danish Style Lounge Chairs

 

How lovely are these 1940’s Danish-inspired lounge chairs? Each chair has a beautifully curved back 

tufted with buttons and loose seat cushions. The chairs are done in a Holland & Sherry Chauvel White 

fabric with tapered round wood legs.

  

We recently completed another set of the same style chairs. This time we upholstered the chairs in a 

beautiful Pierre Frey faux fur fabric and used walnut legs to finish off the look. We personally love how
