Another JMF Style Sectional

We just completed another Jean-Michel Frank style sectional sofa.  This one was built in 3 pieces, and measures 138" x 156" x 42" D.  The lines are truly stunning, and the comfort is beyond words!

Canopy Bed in Luxe Magazine

In 2015, we made this beautiful canopy bed for a project in the Bay Area.  Designed by Handel Architects in San Francisco, this king size bed was made in solid walnut, and features a elegant brass canopy.

Utrecht Armchairs Restored!

Designed by Dutch architect Gerrit Thomas Rietveld in 1935, the Utrecht Armchair was meant to represent a functional mix of design, comfort, and relaxation.  It is now manufactured by Cassina in two types of stitching and five different fabric options.

When one of our clients contacted us to reupholster two Utrecht chairs in a very special silk fabric, we jumped at the opportunity.

The fabric, made in Italy, has a very special pattern and repeat, and thus took weeks to get the cutting and sewing done correctly.  But, it was worth the effort, as the chairs came out beautifully!

Newly Completed Sectional

The sectionals just keep on coming, as we just finished another one!

This sofa, built in 3 pieces, is a beautiful mix of classic and modern techniques.  The inner suspension and white goose down & feather cushions give it a classic feel, while the geometric shape and clean lines give it a contemporary look.

And to top it off, we did a special hand x-stitch along the body of the sofa, to make the piece much more unique and truly couture.

New Classic Design Siting!

WSJ Magazine just published an article of a project we worked on in Santa Monica in 2017.  This stunning house, designed by Commune, is truly a beautiful reflection of Roman Alonso's design aesthetic.

The house is an inspired representation of Californian, Japanese, French, and Danish influences.

We made these elegant barstools for both the Kitchen and Bar Area.  While simple in look and design, these stools are quite complex, particularly with how the seat was engineered and molded with the leather.  And the stitching detail just puts a nice finishing touch on the pieces.

New Wood-Framed Beds

Check out these newly completed king beds, fresh out of the workshop!  Both beds have exposed wood frames and recessed bases.

This light oak bed with a cerused finish has an upholstered headboard and classic upholstered boxspring.

This bed has a dark mahogany frame and base, an upholstered headboard with buttonless tufting, and an upholstered bedframe.  The bedframe has an internal solid wood platform to support a mattress and boxspring.

Lounge Chairs with Solid Walnut Base

These Wormley inspired lounge chairs were painstakingly designed with a specific angle and pitch in order to maximize the comfort while maintaining the original look and aesthetic.  Even though the chairs have a tight seating, they are extremely comfortable.  In fact, one of our clients said they would be perfect for lounging in a media room with a bag of popcorn and a good movie!
